The last paddle of the season will be a little different this year. We are joining Kayak Carolina for a day of paddling on the Cape Fear River to support Western North Carolina!

Kemp Burdette, our Riverkeeper, will lead one paddle at 11 a.m. along the Cape Fear River. This paddle will be about four-miles long with a brief stop at Shark’s Tooth Island. The put in will be the Riverlights kayak launch and take out will be at the River Road Park kayak launch. The CFRW paddle will run as usual, except your paddle donations will be added to Kayak Carolina’s efforts.

Kayak Carolina has planned an awesome day of paddling with proceeds going to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts in western NC. You can donate here on the Kayak for Carolina website or the day of the paddle. You do not have to attend the paddle to donate – any donation amount helps our neighbors to the West!
