Greenfield Lake Walking Eco Tours

Greenfield Lake is a cypress dome ecosystem located in the heart of Wilmington. You will learn about the history, flora and fauna and environmental issues of Greenfield Lake while taking a guided, 1-hour stroll at the lake’s edge on a paved pathway.

This leisurely tour is great for all ages! Adult groups, civic groups, and school groups are also welcome and can schedule private tours for groups of 6 or more.  $5/person (2 and under FREE). Max of 20 people.

FREE Burnt Mill Creek Walking Eco Tour

Burnt Mill Creek is an urban watershed located in downtown Wilmington. Cape Fear River Watch has been awarded a 3-year Environmental Enhancement Grant from the State’s office of the attorney general to help improve water quality, reduce litter, and engage the community in the Burnt Mill Creek Watershed. To learn more about Burnt Mill Creek, local flora and fauna, and this ongoing project, join us for a leisurely, 1-hour walking tour along the creek! Burnt Mill Creek harbors a surprising amount of wildlife, including turtles, birds, crabs, fish, and more.

This FREE tour is great for all ages! Adult groups, civic groups, and school groups are also welcome and can schedule private tours for groups of 6 or more. Max of 20 people. Donations will be accepted.
