August 2026 Paddle – NE Cape Fear River (Sawpit Landing)
Registration opens August 1st.
Join the CFRW paddlers as we explore the Northeast Cape Fear River. This is a scenic sectionwith a textbook example of an oxbow lake, several secluded coves, and a few creeks to poke our heads into. We will meet at the put-in at Sawpit Landing Boat Access Area off White Stocking Ext. no later than 8:30 a.m. and paddle around 5 miles to the take-out at Holly Shelter Boat Ramp off Shaw Hwy.
