October Third Saturday Paddle – Lower Town Creek

Registration opens October 1st!

Join us as we continue our exploration of the Cape Fear River by boat! This month we will do a 5.5-mile out-and-back paddle of Lower Town Creek. We will meet at the put in (the Brunswick Nature Park boat ramp) no later than 8 a.m on Saturday, October 17th.

We have a limited number of single kayaks available for CFRW Members to borrow ($25 suggested donation; includes PFD and paddle) or bring your own ($10 suggested donation). Not a member yet? Considering joining us today by clicking here or calling our office at 910-762-5606.

September 2026 Paddle: Rice Creek (with Kayak Carolina)

Join us as we continue to explore the Cape Fear River Basin by boat! This month we will do an around 5-mile paddle on Rice Creek and Town Creek. We’ll meet at the put-in at Rice Creek Boat Ramp at 8:15 am. on Saturday, September 19th. This paddle is an out-and-back, so no shuttle will be needed.

This month’s paddle will be led by the amazing team at Kayak Carolina, while your Cape Fear Riverkeeper Kemp is out of town for a conference. We are so grateful to Angela Marshall and her crew for stepping up to help keep our paddle series afloat this month!
