This will benefit the trees in several ways\, including helping them retain moisture and suppress weeds. This will be our second day of tree mulching\, to finish up any remaining mulching we did not complete the day before. \nPlease bring a shovel if you have one. As always\, remember to dress appropriately for the hot weather\, bring sunscreen\, and bring plenty of water. We hope to see you there! \nThe meetup location is 2000 Shirley Road Wilmington\, NC. Parking can be found past the gate in the grassy area along the service road. Look for the CFRW sign!

SUMMARY:May 2nd Saturday Cleanup - Burnt Mill Creek
DESCRIPTION:Our 2nd Saturday Cleanup series with Keep New Hanover Beautiful is back on Saturday May 8th from 9-11am! We will be cleaning up Burnt Mill Creek based out of Shirley Rd. To arrive\, navigate towards 2003 Shirley Rd and park along either Shirley or Klein. Volunteers will have the options of walking along the greenway that runs from Shirley Rd to Princess Place Dr. or paddling out for a water-based cleanup in Burnt Mill Creek or McCumber’s Ditch. We will provide boats\, life vests\, paddles\, gloves\, bags\, pickers\, and a good time. As always\, remember to dress appropriately\, wear your mask\, and bring plenty of water. See you out there! \nPlease register beforehand!
