SUMMARY:March First Saturday Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Join us via Zoom to hear from Kyle Stenersen of Humble Roots Farm\, who will talk about Implications and Applications of Growing Organically\n \nKyle is a first generation farmer\, raising organic produce and pasture raised meats and eggs. He and his wife Katelyn and their four children live on and farm 55 acres of leased land in southeastern Pender County. After graduating from NC State in 2010 with a degree in Horticultural Science\, he and his wife moved to Burlington NC to live and work on a farm that a friend owned. “Seeing a seed sprout\, being able to tend the fragile plant to maturity and then bring it to market to exchange for money\, which would let us do it all over again and all the while enriching our environment\, making people healthier\, and financially providing for our family was a new concept for me\, and it ignited a passion that’s still very much alive.”\n \nRegistration Information to Follow
