In addition to owning her own landscape design firm for over three decades\, she also served as a restoration design consultant at the Central New York Conservancy for fourteen years.

Cooperative Extension New Hanover County Center at the Arboretum since September of 2018. Previously\, he was University of Florida’s Extension Director for Lake County\, Florida and Florida-Friendly Landscaping Agent for Sumter County\, Florida since 2010. His previous horticulture industry experience included the role of Landscape Manager for both the theme park Universal Orlando and the oceanfront resort The Breakers Palm Beach.\n \nHis Masters’ degree is in Agroecology from the University of Florida which has shaped his perspective to take a systems approach in working with ornamental horticulture\, balancing the social\, economic and environmental impacts.\n \nHe is the father of two adult children\, Sara and Jonathan\, each with families living in Wilmington. His five grandchildren\, Lucy\, Ellie\, James\, Oliver and Clara occupy his weekends as much as possible.

Every year he conducts 20-25 workshops in North Carolina\, the US\, and abroad. Dr. Hunt loves people and sharing a good laugh. Wolfpack sports are both a blessing and a bane\, but such is life for a fan of the underdog. Traveling and his kids bring him his greatest joys in life.

When she’s not hugging trees or attending public meetings Erin enjoys sitting on the beach\, surfing\, reading\, and riding her bike.

Outside of school\, Keni serves on the executive board for the Surfrider Foundation\, where she advocates for ocean and environmental protection. When Keni is not working\, she enjoys time on the boat and at the beach with her husband and two children.\nKeni holds a Masters of Environmental Management degree from Duke University and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of North Carolina – Wilmington\n\n\n\n
