She taught ecological design and plant identification courses and served as a thesis advisor at the Radcliffe Seminars Graduate Program in Landscape Design. In addition to owning her own landscape design firm for over three decades\, she also served as a restoration design consultant at the Central New York Conservancy for fourteen years.
