DESCRIPTION:Join on the FUN at our annual StriperFest Education Day at the Coastline Convention Center. Education is an important component of successful fishery restoration and our fun activities focus on the Cape Fear River’s  anadromous fish and the importance of restoration. \n \n11:00am – 2:00pm\nThis year’s event is action packed with some seriously scientific fun:\n• What are anadromous fish?\n• Rock Arch Rapids Model\n• Fish Migration Puppet Show\n• Fish Anatomy\, Prints\, Games\, and Puzzles\n• Microscopes- Observe/Identify Organisms\n• Learn to Cast\n• How and Why Fish are Tagged\n• Invertebrate Water Quality Indicators\n• Face Painting ($1 or Donation) \nWe are looking for vendors for family friendly educational vendors. If you are interested email kaylynn@cfrw.us.\nThis event is made possible through the experience and passion of volunteers and interns on the Cape Fear River Watch Education Committee.
