SUMMARY:November First Saturday Seminar
DESCRIPTION:Halloween may be over\, but the plastic lurking in our local waterways is not going anywhere—at least without your help!\n\n\nThis month’s seminar will explore how a bottle deposit system works and how a bottle bill here in North Carolina could help reduce some of the most common types of litter found in the Cape Fear River Basin\, and statewide\, while also increasing recycling rates and freeing up landfill space. Madison Haley will discuss the potential environmental and economic benefits of this bill and share updates on the ongoing campaign with the North Carolina Plastic Waste Coalition (which we are a part of!).\n\n\nJoin us before the seminar at 8 a.m. for free coffee and pancakes courtesy of our fall interns!

SUMMARY:Friendsgiving Paddle & Potluck on Brunswick River
DESCRIPTION:Another incredible paddle season is coming to a close. \nLet’s get together to show thanks to our community and river basin which make it possible. We’ll celebrate the end of the season by bringing back our special Friendsgiving Paddle & Potluck!
